Our audio package explores the lives and works of those who choose to help those with mental illnesses at the university.
Al Creamman works mostly with children, and most heartbreakingly, foster kids who have been abandoned or kicked out of their homes, sometimes due to the mental illness that effects them greatly.
Carol Mauck has worked with older adults struggling with mental health for almost 30 years. After running her own independent day care, Mauck now runs a program which allows seniors to look at and interpret art.
Finally, James Maurer works with athletes who might be dealing with stress and a variety of other mental health issues that come as a result of their extremely busy schedule.
Each has their own story to tell on mental health, and has unique perspectives, but together they preach towards a spread of awareness and treatment for ailments that we cannot see.
